The practice

An independent healthcare finance practice

CareNumerix was set up so operations, capital, policy, quality, and the year's filings can be handled as related parts of the same practice, not as disconnected projects. Work is led by the principals.

Timothy J. Jalbert, CPA

Founder and Principal

Timothy J. Jalbert, CPA

Timothy is a CPA with more than thirty years in healthcare finance. He has closed books as a community CFO and as a national consultant, so the work covers both the board packet and the trial balance behind it.

Engagements are scoped, staffed by the principals, and documented so your existing audit firm and operators can pick up the file. We are not trying to become your accounting department.

What we do not take on

  • A percentage of settlement. The goal is a defensible file.
  • Replacing your audit firm. We work alongside them.
  • A permanent controller function. If that is what you need, we will say so.
  • A presentation that cannot be tied back to the trial balance.

What a first month looks like

Kickoff, a document request, and a working session on the trial balance and statistics. You get a one-page diagnosis: what is ready to file, what is not, and the fee to finish. If the work is not a fit, that is the end of it.
